Joe Gqabi District EMS honoured as Best Performing Clinical Team

Recently, the Eastern Cape Department of Health celebrated its annual Batho Pele Service Exellence and Innovation Awards event to honour the best performers within the department. The prestigious event took place in East London and saw various health districts and professionals acknowledged for their outstanding contributions to public health service delivery.
Once again, Joe Gqabi District's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) emerged as the star of the evening. The Joe Gqabi EMS Team 1 was awarded the "Best Performing Clinical Team" in the Eastern Cape, a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence in service delivery. The EMS team received the coveted Excellency award, highlighting their exceptional performance and dedication to serving the community.
The award was presented to District Manager, Lindeleni Radebe-Memani of Joe Gqabi EMS, with several Station Managers also in attendance. This recognition not only celebrates the district's achievements but also serves as a powerful motivation for the entire Joe Gqabi team. It underscores the importance of their work and inspires them to continue enhancing their service delivery, ensuring the highest quality of care for the people of the Eastern Cape.
Most of the dedicated workers in the Joe Gqabi EMS are based in the Walter Sisulu Local Municipality, which is immensely proud of such an achievement. Their efforts have been instrumental in securing this award and setting a high standard for clinical excellence.
The MEC for Health in the Eastern Cape Province, Nomakhosazana Meth, expressed admiration for Joe Gqabi District EMS, emphasizing that such accolades are crucial in driving the overall improvement of healthcare services across the region. The recognition of Joe Gqabi District EMS is expected to set a benchmark for other districts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the Department of Health.
